In the book of Exodus 11-12, we see that God has sent the plague of the first born to Egypt, taking away the lives of the first born in all of Egypt. But God told His people that if they are to be protected, they need only cover the doorposts of their house with the blood of a sacrificial lamb. And that when they did, and the plague came, He told his people that he would pass over.

If we Christians are covered by the Blood of Christ, then what do we have to fear? Not the plagues that will come, not the Pharaohs in our life that oppresses us, nor the world that would condemn us.
